A baby shower gift

A friend of mine is having a little girl soon and for her baby shower I wanted to make her something. I have been reading Xazmin's Blog for about a year and really love her Modge Podge Mania Parties that she host monthly. After getting a bottle of modge podge around Christmas time, I thought this was the perfect oppurtunity to use it, so here is my first attempt at Modge Podging.

First I gathered all my materials Modge Podge, a blank picture frame, paint, brushes, stickers and scrapbook paper.

I then painted the back and all of the edges on the frame pink, I did several layers.

After the paint dried, I traced the frame onto the back of the scrapbook paper and cut it out.

I covered the frame with modge podged and placed the scrapbok paper on it and let it dry, i then did several layers on top of the scrapbook paper, I also ended up using a sanding block to make the edges smooth because the paper was too big (any tips on this would be helpful).

After I modge podge the frame I put Faith (the baby's name) on the top and modge podged a few more layers over that, here is my finished project.

By the way everyone loved it and could not believe I had made it.

I'm Ready to Shred

Yep, that's right I am going to start Shredding. I have seen so many people say that Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred really does work and I have been wanting it for awhile now, so I went and bought it today. I will try and keep everyone posted on my progress and how I feel about it, I plan to start Monday February 1st. I do have a question for those of you who have done it, what size hand weights do you use?

So it has been almost a year since I posted last, I plan to start posting again, especially with the new year.

Christmas Pictures

I just wanted to share some pictures from our Christmas this year.

My Baby Boy is 3 today

Three years ago today I welcomed my second little boy into the world. I remeber that day so well. I got up that morning and took a shower, I felt a little bit crampy but not really bad or anything. I got M.J. up and bathed him and got him dressed, still feeling o.k. We had a little bite to eat and I told Bobby I was going to drive over to the Dr. office since I was cramping and have him check me. Well he insisted on taking me. I got to the Dr. office and told the receptionist how I was feeling and she said the Dr. would be right with me. I go in and he checks me and says you are dialated to a 6, so you need to head to the hospital, I will meet you there shortly. I go back to the car and tell Bobby, so he kind of starts to freak out a little, he says "who should I call?" Well we get to the hospital about 10:30 a.m. or so, get up to labor and delivery and they were like you are in labor?(I was very calm, not having very much pain) They got me all hooked up to the monitors and I.V. and everyone started to show up. I remeber starting to feel like I needed to use the bathroom real bad and I told the nurse but she would not let me get up. She called the Dr. and he was already walking in the door, as he was putting his jacket and gloves on my water broke and went all over him, from neck down he was soaked. Then I hear my mom say wow he is big, she could see his head, and I said I can't do this, she scared me! Well at 1:31 p.m. on December 2, 2005 Cristian was born. All this time during my delivery Bobbay and Chad stood against the wall, both as white as ghost. And did I mention I did not use any kind of drugs during my labor, it was all natural!
